Disruptions and Disobedience: Academic and legal databases such as the First Amendment Encyclopedia catalog instances where political demonstrators have actively targeted church services to voice grievances (such as anti-ICE demonstrations). While highly disruptive and occasionally leading to federal charges, these actions are categorized as civil disobedience or targeted trespassing rather than widespread, spontaneous riots originating outside the buildings (Free Speech Center, 2026).
